Election at April 2025 Meeting!!
It is time once again for the PTA Nominating Committee to recruit candidates to hold PTA Officer positions for the upcoming school year. The goal of the Nominating Committee is to enlist the talents of as many DMA parents, friends and families as possible.
It is the Nominating Committee's responsibility to consider all persons interested in a particular PTA Executive Board position.
If you are interested in any of the PTA Executive Board positions, or a committee
chair/co-chair position, please contact the Nominations committee.
ALL positions are up for election each year. This year (2024/2025) we have 3 Executive Board Members with senior cadets. Each Board position can be held for a maximum of 2 years by the same person.

PTA Executive Board (Officer) Positions and Descriptions:
- President: Directs the affairs of the DMA PTA in cooperation with the Executive Committee; represents PTA members; develops a year-long action plan; oversees and interacts with all PTA officers and activities; interacts with school administrations; develops and updates procedure manual(s); presides over board meetings and guides the PTA's daily operation; knows and follows the organization's bylaws.
- Executive Vice President: Assumes the President's duties in his/her absence and supports the president in their duties.
- Communications Vice President: Responsible for email and web site communications - interacts with the Executive Committee to ensure accurate dissemination of information. Also responsible for BAND, Facebook, Sign-up Genius.
- Secretary: Keeps accurate record (minutes) of the proceedings of DMA's PTA Executive Board, Executive Committee, and general membership meetings. Distributes minutes and ensures that they are posted to the DMA PTA website.
- Treasurer: Keeps permanent books of all PTA related monetary transactions; is responsible for the financial management of the PTA; receives and disburses all monies in accordance with the bylaws and the approved budget; prepares and presents monthly reports, ensures completion of annual audit and filing of annual tax return.
